What's been going on for the Ember Big Band
What an evening at the Hammond Theatre
Just a fabulous evening raising money for the Princess Alice Hospice and a real delight to work with Ken Bruce and Allen Rogers. Thank you to all the supporters who filled the house !
Back at the Albion

Great to be back at the Albion after too long a gap with our informal run through of numbers we've been working on. A tight squeeze but just makes the band tighter !
Thank you to Verity, the staff and the clientele for such a great response. Hope to be back in early April, relaxing after our big gig at the Hammond Theatre.
Louise Marshall - what a masterclass act !

Enjoyed a masterclass in vocal and instrumental performance from a musical superstar on a cold January Saturday. Louise Marshall is one of the principal singers with the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues orchestra whose BBC ONE Hootenanny traditionally accompanies the count-down to New Year in millions of British homes.
Taking her tips into our upcoming shows. Thanks Louise !
It's a wrap ! Our Xmas concert
A fabulous evening on Sat 10th at the Claygate Village Hall as we distracted a lively audience from the tension of England's World Cup game with France. A selection of seasonal and non-seasonal tunes hopefully got everyone in the mood for Xmas and signed off 2022 for the Ember Big Band. Thank you everyone for your support.
What an honour !
Absolutely thrilled to see our inspiration and much loved band leader on the 2022 Honours List, awarded a British Empire Medal for a lifetime service to music. What a legend !!! Thanks Bill for everything you've given the world of music.
Back @ St John's
A great evening back at St John's raising over £620 to help pay the building costs of the Easter Centre at St. John`s, church, Egham. Thanks Phil Darby for hosting us.
"The concert was quite something. Musicians and singers were excellent in their own right - but collectively they were tremendous. The show was so entertaining and everyone could see how much they enjoyed being together and playing together. Thank you EBB!”
What a busy Summer !
What a busy last few months for the Ember Big Band ! 3 great evenings at the Black Swan (in Ockham) in the garden, an afternoon set at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, 2 showings of our very own tribute to the un-sung women of Big Band music (Fine Women & Song) and a Jubilee road trip to Dorset ! So ... we're taking a break through August ... but back on it in September.
